Kwikflo KDP

Kwikflo KDP

KDP are a range of mechanical diaphragm pumps. They incorporate a heavy duty gearbox coupled to an eccentric block to actuate the diaphragm, making them appropriate for heavy-duty applications. The pump is belt-driven with pulleys which enable it to use a variety of drive options, including electric motors and petrol and diesel engines for 2” and 3” pumps. With the ability to self-prime, handle solids and run dry, they have a wide range of applications.

Features:

  • Suction lifts to 7.5m
  • Rapid self-priming
  • Will run dry without damage
  • Heavy duty
  • TEFC electric motors fitted as standard
  • Will operate on snore
  • Will handle abrasive liquids
  • Will pass solids up to 80% port size
  • Compact construction

Applications:

  • Dewatering excavation
  • Raw sewage
  • Pool maintenance and construction
  • Waste treatment plants
  • Oil skimming

Wilden Bolted Metal Advanced Series Pumps

Wilden Bolted Metal Advanced Series Pumps

The Wilden “Advanced” series of metal pumps features a bolted body design. The bolted configuration on the Wilden AODD pumps deliver better leak resistance at higher pressures than traditional clamp-banded designs. The Advanced series metal pumps are offered in die-cast aluminium, stainless steel and Ductile iron. A variety of options such as ANSI and DIN flanges, NPT/BSPT threads, and specialised air distribution systems are available.

Wilden Bolted Plastic Advanced Series Pumps

Wilden Bolted Plastic Advanced Series Pumps

The Wilden “Advanced” series of Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm (AODD) bolted plastic pumps were specifically engineered for maximum performance and efficiency in a variety of applications. Price, chemical compatibility and mobility are important considerations in choosing a plastic pump over a metal pump. Some pumping applications require a pump that is mobile and available in multiple locations. The Wilden Advanced Series AODD plastic pump is lighter compared to metal pumps and is easier to transport. When chemical compatibility is critical, plastic AODD pumps provide an outstanding option over metal pumps that are incompatible with certain chemicals. The bolted configuration ensures total product containment while the optimized liquid path reduces internal friction to maximize output and efficiency. The plastic pumps are offered in polypropylene, PVDF and Teflon, with a variety of outlet options, such as ANSI and DIN flanges, and specialised air distribution systems.

Wilden Clamped Metal Original Series Pumps

Wilden Clamped Metal Original Series Pumps

The Wilden “Original” series of metal Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm (AODD) pumps are perfect for demanding applications that require a robust design and long-term dependability. The clamp bands come off quickly and easily for replacement of diaphragms and cleaning. The clamped series are generally cheaper than the bolted series. The Original series metal pumps are available in aluminium, stainless steel and Ductile Iron. A variety of options such as ANSI and DIN flanges, NPT/BSPT threads, and specialised air distribution systems are available.

Yamada AODD Pumps

Yamada AODD Pumps

All Yamada Air Powered Double Diaphragm Pumps feature bolted body construction, which eliminates leaks and simplifies post-maintenance reassembly. Bolted construction is generally superior to clamp band retainers, which frequently require frustrating, unnecessary leakage rebuilds from misalignment during reassembly.

Features:

  • Outside-Accessible Air Valve, which simplifies inspection or maintenance without removing the pump from service.
  • Unified Air Valve Concept, which means common size air valve assemblies over all models.
  • Unique to the Yamada design is an individual modular pilot valve that actuates the air valve. It is depressed slightly by the inner center disk creating a pressure drop at one end of the air valve, allowing shifting to occur. It is maintenance free with no cumbersome snap rings or lubricated dynamic o-rings to replace or repair.
  • Optimal Stroke Length that maximizes diaphragm life and performance while minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.

Yamada Chemical Resistance Guide

Yamada Chemical Resistance Guide

One of the more difficult tasks in selecting a pump for long, trouble free service is the proper choice of both wetted and non-wetted pump components. Pump components wear, and the objective is to get the longest life from the wearing parts. Knowing how to han-dle abrasive and corrosive fluids will lead to proper wetted materials selection. When selecting a pump for corrosive service most use chemical compatibility charts and graphs for selecting and recommending pump materials of construction. These charts; at best, are meant as ever so general guidelines. Practical experience, and past history will dictate the use of certain materials with various fluids.
